We were blessed to have special guest, Donna Jordan, in service with us on Sunday, April 29th. Here is the message she shared with us from the heart of God, transcribed for your encouragement.
I have called you here to be a light for this nation and for the nations. Let your light shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven (Matthew 5:14-16).
I love you so much. Stay close to me so you can reflect me and my glory (2 Corinthians 3: 17-18). Don’t “play” church, be the church. I am the good shepherd; I lay down my life for the sheep (John 10:11-16, 11:27-28) and my sheep know me. They follow me and listen to my voice. Sometimes I make you to lie down in green pastures so that I can restore your soul. I will guide you in the paths of righteousness for my sake. Even though you may walk through the valley of the shadow of death you have nothing to fear. Live for eternity when you will see me face to face (Psalm 23).
Some of you are wondering, even asking Me why you are here in Washington. To be a light for me, that’s why. So whatever you do, do it as unto me (Colossians 2:23- 24). Don’t be impressed with positions or your possessions but that you know me–not just about me, but that you have close relationship with me. I want you to be my friends–friends that I can confide in (John 15:9-17, Psalms 25:14).
Listen to me, not the voice of others or the enemy–listen to me. Be led by the Spirit. He is the Spirit of truth and the truth will set you free (John 14:15-17, John 15:26-27, John 16:12-15, John 8:31-32, 34-36). You need each other. It is important to come together weekly to worship Me. You need each other. Look for the lost sheep and lambs and bring them back to the fold. Like I said to Peter, “If you love me, feed my sheep.” Take care of my lambs so that the flock will be multiplied in a safe place–a place of my presence and rest. Be my family who loves me and trusts me and who lives to please me (Luke 8:21, Mark 3:31-34).
