As the prayer ministry of Capital Life Church, we are committed to prayer and intercession for the local church body, church leadership, and those in need. We lift up the name of our Savior on others’ behalf and build one another up through the peace and power of the Holy Spirit. We teach others to pray by example, teaching, discipling, corporate prayer and altar ministry. Our mission is to inspire and encourage a meaningful prayer life for each church community member.
Our first of the bimonthly homeless outreach event at the DC Community for Creative Non-Violence, was held last Monday. With each meal we included a bible based word which has a slip at the bottom they can turn in if they had a prayer request. We also talked and ministered to them individually. Several of the residents had prayer points they needed us to pray over and these were compiled.
Their names have been edited out to protect their identity (only the first letters of their names will be used).
Intercessors, let us lift up these needs to God who answers prayers. May He grant you the desires of your heart according to His will, His strength being made perfect in your weakness and may He do exceedingly abundantly above what you can ever ask or hope, as you pray on these requests. God is forever, no trial is. God loves us and He wants us to realize and know it’s all under His control, no matter how it looks or seems. Rest in that today. Rom 8:28, II Cor 4:17-18
