Partner with Outreach

Capital Life Church has ways for you to get involved in outreach every month. Whether it's something you add to your regular routine or you just want to come one time, we'd love to have you join us for any of our amazing outreach events.

Join fellow Capital Lifers as we sort and bag food at the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) on the first Saturday of every month from 9:30-11:30AM. AFAC is dedicated to obtaining and distributing groceries, directly and free of charge, to people living in Arlington who cannot afford to purchase enough food to meet their basic needs.

You're invited to join us on the 3rd Sunday of any month at McPherson Square Park (15th St NW, Washington, DC 20005). It's an easy way to get involved and to help people who need it. Email Outreach@CapitalLife.org with any questions. We meet there at 8:30AM.

Feel free to bring additional toiletries and snacks from the donations list below. We will be distributing items to those in need, loving on them and praying for them.

Speaking of donations, we have boxes both in the lobby and outside the front door of the church where we regularly collect items for those in need. Some of the top items we need regularly are:

• Clothes: Shirts, pants, jackets, jeans, hoodies, socks; 
  • most folks usually prefer large sizes as they layer up. 
  • NO dresses, skirts, swimwear, used underwear, costume wear, tight fitting clothes
• Toiletries: Toilet paper, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, deodorant, lotion, feminie products, first aid kits, oral hygiene (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, etc.)
• Bags: Recyclable bags or trash bags, luggage bags
• Food/Snacks: Bottled water, bananas, bags of chips, soft granola bars, tuna cans w/ self-open lids

You can always support our Outreach Ministry by going to CapitalLife.org/give and donating any amount. What you give goes directly to our outreach efforts in our community. When you give, select the "General" fund > Enter amount > when prompted manually enter the memo "outreach" or "toiletries donation."
