Day 15: Pray for corporate repentance.
We can repent for the sins of the corporate church, our city, and our nation. Take a moment today to intercede for any place our church, city, and nation has gone awry and ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Daniel 9:4-5 – “I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: ‘Lord, the great and awesome God, … we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.’ ”
Ezra 9:15 – “Lord, the God of Israel, you are righteous! We are left this day as a remnant. Here we are before you in our guilt, though because of it not one of us can stand in your presence.”
